Have you ever longed to go back a hundred years or fifty and live for a few days in the great southwest territory of the 1800’s? Maybe your desire for such an experience was awakened during your reading of a good Louis L’Amour, Zane Grey or Larry McMurtry novel, or simply the curiosity became aroused from your study of southwest history.
It is with this mindset that the Brian Barker and Barry Bedwell Families wish to invite you to the Buckin’ B Ranch. As our guest, you will be treated as royalty at our Red Bluff Lodge and Buck Creek Bunkhouse. The facilities include all the comforts of modern day luxury in an “Old West” log cabin style structure. The log material and heavy interior wood beams were grown in the mountains of New Mexico and transported to our building site.
The Red Bluff Lodge and Buck Creek Bunkhouse are available to reserve, whether you are interested in specific hunts, or would like to be our guest for corporate meetings, family reunions, or simply for a relaxing get-away. We welcome your inquiries. We feel that you will be delighted with our very reasonable rate structure.

The official website of 15 year NFL veteran and Louisiana native Bubby Brister. Meet Bubby, sign up for private or camp training, get an autograph, or even sign up for a hunting or trip hosted by Bubby.
Walter A. "Bubby" Brister, III was an NFL Quarterback for 15 years. He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers, where he played for seven years, and he later played on two winning Super Bowl teams with the Denver Broncos in 1997 & 1998. Bubby was always known for his toughness and gutsy performances, as well as his phenomenal ability to work the field.
Bubby attended Neville High School in Monroe, LA where he excelled in every sport in which he participated. The son of a coach, he played football, baseball, basketball and track. When scouts heard of his talent, they began watching him at a very young age. He was later signed by Paul "Bear" Bryant to attend Alabama on a football scholarship, but instead chose to play professional baseball after being drafted by the Detroit Tigers right out of high school. After two seasons in the minors, and suffering a fractured thumb while playing baseball, Brister decided college football was his future.
Bubby played two years at Tulane, then transferred to Northeast Louisiana University. During his senior year in 1985 he led the Southland Conference in passing and total offense and earned first team all-conference honors. His success - Bubby was known for a rocket arm and exceptional mobility and running skills - led to his being drafted in the third round of the NFL draft in 1986 by his boyhood dream team, the Pittsburgh Steelers. It was the beginning of a dream career that ended with two Super Bowl rings with the Denver Broncos as John Elway's back-up, even starting four games in 1998 while Elway was injured and leading the Broncos to a 4-0 record in that span. In addition to playing with Pittsburgh and Denver, his resume includes tours with the Philadelphia Eagles, the New York Jets, and the Minnesota Vikings.
Upon retiring from football, Bubby returned to his native Louisiana where he is still an avid sportsman and enthusiast. He is partnered with several outdoor companies such as Mossy Oak and Bad Boy Buggies, and he participates with the Sportsmen's Legacy Foundation as a member on their Advisory Board. Bubby is very active in the community, and recently started holding private lessons for youth level Quarterbacks. He also runs his annual Quarterback & Skill Player Camps during the summer months along the Gulf Coast, and in Colorado and Pennsylvania. Bubby, his wife, Bonnie, and their two children, Madeline and Andrew, reside in Mandeville, Louisiana.
